I received my B.S. in Mathematics from MIT, M.S. in Geographic Information Science from the University of London, and Ph.D. in Cognitive and Neural Systems from Boston University. After completing ROTC in college, I served in the US Air Force as an active duty intelligence officer, inactive reserve officer, and as a civilian physical scientist. Following military service, I was an information systems engineer for The MITRE Corporation for 15 years and am currently a data team lead for the NOAA Northwest Fisheries Science Center. I live in Tacoma, WA where I am a member of the Sustainable Tacoma Commission.
